Rugby is the essence of the moral and ethical nature of sport, for the typical values it is able to transmit on the field and that characterize its environment at all levels.

Passion, respect, discipline, courage, loyalty, commitment, honesty, support, sharing, humility, trust and reliability: these are the distinctive values of rugby, expression of ethical principles on which any respectable civilized society should base its beliefs, ideal cornerstones of an authoritative and positive educational model for the young, model capable of forming first and foremost the people, persons facing a reality that looks to a better future.

In the world of rugby, Petrarca has been a crucial reference point for the territory of Padua and Veneto for more than 65 years, a sports club model that has contributed and continues to write the history of national and international rugby.
It is one of the biggest Italian title holders: 12 times Italian Champion and more than 50 youth titles in its list. From 1947 to date, more than 60 players have worn the shirt of Italian National team and more than double that of the National Junior teams.

Petrarca Rugby has always wished to advocate a "permanent project" aimed to instill the values of Rugby in the local community by promoting this sport and by directly involving young people, families, companies and institutions.

Completely sharing the main principles of rugby, the strong sport vocation of the Bellini family, a sense of territorial belonging, are some of the main reasons that have led Elettra to support Petrarca Rugby, confirming as one of its sponsors for the 2015-16 season.

Actually Petrarca Rugby is a reality that includes more than 400 athletes: from Under 6-8-10-12-14-16-18 who play in their respective class championships, to the Cadet Team that plays in the B Series Championship, up to the First Team that plays in the highest national Championship of Rugby.

From the "cradle" of the Antonianum of Padua, where it was born, to the current "Memo Geremia" Center, one of the sports centers dedicated to rugby and one of the best in Italy and Europe, Petrarca is a first-rate center of education and sports for generations of young people engaged in the complex growth process to become men able to face and overcome challenges, not only in sports but also in life.
